Many people have tried to do affirmations over the years and they often come to the conclusion that “there is no point,” or “they don’t work.” There are just a few important points to follow when doing affirmations to make them work. I have done quite a bit of research on this topic, combined with my own deep understanding of the process. I have distilled my thoughts down below. Many of you may already know some of these points. But if you learn just one new thing, THAT could be the key to unlock your success!
1) Allow for overlap of realities
Allow for overlap of realities, no matter how weird or surreal. This process averages about 90 days. Of course it will seem strange to envision something that does not fit with your current reality, but that is the whole point of doing affirmations… to CREATE what is not yet so.
2) Manifestation Formula
THOUGHT + EMOTION = MANIFESTATION
This means that you must have the thought AND the feeling or you will not be able to create a change. It can be ANY strong emotion, including anger, but try to use JOY. Get into a joyful state however you can, by remembering something wonderful or even imagining something that WOULD be wonderful. It need not have any relevance to the thing you are planning to affirm. Feel the joy in every part of your being THEN piggyback the new thought onto this feeling. Try to hold this moment for up to a minute
3) Breathe
Remember to BREATHE DEEPLY. Many of us have developed a tendency to breath shallow and we are not getting the full benefit of complete breathing. Not only will we receive more oxygen, which is useful for our PHYSICAL body, to heal and to detoxify, but the breath also helps bridge the gap between the conscious and the subconscious. When we breathe deeply, it MAGNIFIES the power of your affirmations.
4) Learn Correct Way to Create Affirmations
Create affirmations using present time with positive words. Affirmations are communicating with the SUBCONSCIOUS mind and this part of our being exists in the 5th dimension, beyond physical reality (3rd dimension) and beyond time (4th dimension). In the 5th dimension, there is no past, present or future. It just IS. So when creating an affirmation, phrase it as if it already is so.
5) We Create All Our Experiences
Remember that EVERYTHING we experience in this world we have created somehow, within our thoughts whether we are aware of it or not. When we take responsibility for this fact, we now have become liberated to create a change.
6) We are Connected to Each Other
Your subconscious mind is connected to everyone ELSE’S subconscious mind. Also, this can also be considered your fingerprint of GOD within you. So this means that when you tap into your subconscious mind, you are not only connecting with GOD, but you are also connecting with everyone else in the world. The reason this is important to understand is that some of the things that you are affirming may ultimately come from someone else and it is THEIR subconscious mind that would be triggered through your efforts to bring a change into your life! (like a job offer out of the blue, etc.) So, when doing affirmations, it is a good idea to be open to new experiences and to meeting new people coming into your life.
