How to Generate Affirmations

Learn the best method of creating affirmations for powerful results. Our resources already provide many affirmational sets that you can use as is. And these affirmations are also available as card packs, to be used with the Thought Catapulter system.

In ADDITION to these affirmations, you may find the need to have something customized just for your situation. The following guidelines will show you exactly how to create powerful personal affirmations that truly get results. That is the reason that each Thought Catapulter comes with a pack of blank cards.

Build Affirmations with Optimal Phrasing

The most important thing to remember when you are creating an affirmation is to use:

  • Present time
  • Positive words

If you say, “I WILL have a job I love in 6 months,” then you will most likely have the experiencing of always feeling that this is in the “future.” So, in 6 months, you will have successfully built-into your subconscious mind that it will happen 6 months from THAT POINT. Like the “carrot and the stick,” you never quite reach the goal because you have programmed it in that it is always beyond reach. so the trick is to use PRESENT TIME and a good word for this is “now.” It is better to say, “I NOW have a job I love!”

Also, if you say “I no longer have a fear of flying,” even though you may think this is a powerful statement to teach your subconscious, what you subconscious mind hears is “FEAR, FLYING!” So this statement is just making things worse! It is better to say something like this: “I feel safe and happy when I fly,” or “I enjoy flying on an airplane.”

Reference Your Current Issue – And Create the Opposite

The easiest thing to do is to get a piece of paper and draw a vertical line down the middle. On one side, list all the things that bug you. On the other side create the exact opposite. Even if it seems preposterous or unrealistic, isn’t THAT the whole point of doing an affirmation – to ENVISION and to CREATE what you really want?

Examples

I have no friends >> I have lots of friends
I am bad with money >> I am great with money
I always pick the wrong partner >> I am now in an amazing relationship with someone who is loving and loyal

 

There is no Limit

Since the subconscious mind is boundless, you do not have a worry about doing too many affirmations during the same period of time. You can work on many different issues that you want to change in your life and you never have to worry that they would dilute each other’s power. If you have ONE or 30, and you do them the right way, there is no limit.
